I bought my first Moleskine product the other day! I’m very excited to start putting ideas in this sketchbook.

My family and I went out to eat at a buffet the other day, and heres some shots I took from our little outing :) We laughed A LOT that day, and my Mom is literally one of the most beautiful women I know. I love my family.
(oh how I miss posting pictures like this again :’) )

Is it just me or..
whenever I discover a new artist with such amazing work and see more of their creations, I begin to feel like crying? I never actually cry, of course, but when I see an artwork that truly inspires me and conveys such a beautiful message, the urge to tear up kinda pops up? Something so wonderful was created by someone out there in the world. They put all their time and efforts into it, and you just realize the value this one picture has. You feel the artists passion, their emotions, and you thank them for this one second they have gifted you but letting you into their mind.
You’d think that once you’re done with a drawing on your paper, or tablet or whatever you use, you’re done with that artwork. But no, it really doesn’t stop there. It’s not finished until you get it out there for other people to see and experience.

So I’m sitting here in my room with my best friend.
She needed help with her practice tests on grammar, and I’m just here to help her out when/if she’s confused or stuck.
But before she came, my room was a mess (which is no surprise). I had paintbrushes all over my side table, clothes spread out in mini piles on some parts of the floor and bed, notebooks and text books laying on the ground, and some other mysterious objects floating around. Usually I’m quite ashamed (and I was) for letting her see how messy I let my room become, so naturally I tried to scurry to clean everything up. But she stops me and says,
Nonoonoo. It’s like really cozy in here. You know when you step into someone’s house and you feel at home, because there are things all over? It feels like someone has actually lived there, you know? Yeah, that’s your room. It’s really cozy.
I’ve have never been told that before in my life and it really made me think. I then looked around my room, taking in my little haven. Though, I probably shouldn’t promote keeping my room like this, I saw what she was talking about. The ambient, creamy gleam (from my christmas lights and mini lamp) shown across my walls made my room glow instead of “glare”. The little belongings laying around gave my room life, which displayed it’s own personality. A room can tell you so much about an individual and possibly how they live their lives. I wondered, if someone I have never met before came into my room, what kind of things would they be able to draw out from me?

My Birthday Pictures!

I woke up to this first thing in the morning, and it brought such a huge smile to my face! (my 9 year old little sister snuck in to tape on the banner she made <3)
I turned over and and there were two presents laying on my side table

from my best friend, Jennifer, and her boyfriend! She also bought me a vase of such cute tulips, which made my room look 1000000x better <3

(sorry my table was a mess ><)
Floating in the air was a bundle of balloons: Mickey mouse, 2 heart ballons and an “It’s a Girl!” one.. she would..she would.. LOOL OH and one of the heart balloons had a troll face on it! It literally made me burst out laughing on the ground asjfkgdlf!

I opened her gifts and one was a Harry Potter PS3 game, and the other.. WAS A MICKEY MOUSE DECAL THAT I ALWAYS WANTED and a clear macbook case *glistening eyes*!

I looked outside and my sidewalk had a wonderful little message:

Throughout this whole experience, I was just so overwhelmed from how much support and love I get from the people around me. I felt so incredibly blessed to have amazing friends and the most wonderful family I could ever wish for. These people shape my life, and I really don’t know what kind of person I would be, without them. So for that, I thank them with all my heart and all I could give, for being there for someone like me.
